Take a nap.
Consider this your permission slip.
Sometimes what you really need to do to feel better is absolutely NOTHING.
One of my favorite quotes by Randy Buckly is: ''REST takes care of the REST''.
So go ahead, put on your cosiest pyjamas or your oldest most comfy t-shirt and have a nap. However, if even the idea of taking a nap adds pressure because of everything you have to do, then put a timer on your phone and simply close your eyes for a few minutes, 5 minutes can make all the difference...
letting EVERYTHING else wait.
I've written you a nursing prescription
Download your prescription hereI invite you to download your prescription and print it. Write your full name and the date on it. Then, put it somewhere where you'll see it often (your fridge, your night table) as a reminder that you are worthy of REST. Allowing yourself to rest will make everything more manageable. Rest gives us strength and makes us so much more flexible and that is exactly what we need when we are navigating the health care system and life in general.
There is something about classical music that is deeply healing and regenerative. I invite you to sit somewhere comfortable, perhaps with a cozy blanket, click on the link below and just listen. Let yourself be held by the music for a little while.
